Bicycle Experience took root in 2013 when Army veteran Todd Hood purchased the shop, instilling a strong legacy of grit, top-tier service, and community trust.
In July 2026, the shop geared up for an exciting new chapter when Shawn D’Aurelio took the handlebars as the new owner. Shawn brings years of hands-on cycling passion and industry expertise as the owner and operator of Synaptic Cycles in Dana Point, CA. Bringing it all together, Shawn joined forces with his brother, Brandon D’Aurelio—a familiar face to local riders who has long steered the ship as General Manager. Together, the D’Aurelio brothers bring deep technical know-how, local trail wisdom, and serious enthusiasm to the Colorado Springs riding scene.
